SOP/NDMA
SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) and NDMA (National Disaster Management Authority) are two distinct concepts.
- SOP (Standard Operating Procedure):
SOP refers to a set of established guidelines or instructions that dictate how specific tasks or processes should be carried out. It ensures consistency, efficiency, and compliance across an organization. SOPs are widely used in industries like healthcare, manufacturing, and administration to streamline operations and minimize errors. - NDMA (National Disaster Management Authority):
NDMA is an agency in many countries, including India, that is responsible for the formulation and implementation of policies, plans, and strategies to mitigate and manage disasters. The primary role of NDMA is to coordinate disaster management activities, provide guidance on preparedness, response, recovery, and rehabilitation efforts during and after disasters.
In short:
- SOP provides a framework for standardized operations.
- NDMA focuses on disaster management and resilience at a national level.
